About Trading Card Games
Trading Card Games is the brainchild of Calico back in around 2000. For those who are unfamiliar with TCGS, it's basically an online version of ordinary trading card games you collect in real life. The good thing about online TCGs is that you can make absolutely anything into cards, and there are many many TCGs out there devoting to different subjects. Anyone can join, as long as you have a valid email address and have somewhere to display the cards. I wrote a detailed guide to setting up your TCG post and trading in my other TCG Genki Beam, which you can view here.

Pretty Voice?
In this particular TCG you can collect card sets based on Jpop Promotional Videos (PVs). Like this layout, I want this TCG to be very simple but fun, suitable for those who don’t have much time to update a lot of cards every week or participate in complex games. They can just come here on a set day of the week to see what games are updated and what new sets are added. The site name came from a track off Otsuka Ai's Love Punch Album, and represents what Jpop artists have - pretty voices! And since this TCG is about PVs the site name can also be a pun ^^

Card Types
There are 3 card types that can be found in Pretty Voice:

PV Cards
They are cards made from Jpop Music Videos, and the most common type. There are sets for many soloists and groups, girls and boys! PVs by girls are represented by a pink border, while PVs by boys are represented by a blue border. If a group has both boys and girls (such as AAA), colors depend on which gender is more predominant.

Theme Cards
Theme cards feature other aspects of Jpop OTHER than PV, including artist, photobooks, CD Scans, and a lot more. These are less common, and contain 10 cards on average. Why so little? Because you can get theme cards only by mastering PV sets or by collecting Hiragana needed (see below). Whenever you mastered a PV set or got the hiragana you need you may choose to have one theme card of choice ^^ Note that these cards are still worth 1 but are just harder to obtain. You may trade them for PV cards with other members if both sides agree!

Member Cards
Everybody in Pretty Voice can have one member card made with your image of choice! Collecting them is very simple, you just go ask other members for their member card and offer yours in return. And you would never have to take down your own card either. Below is my member card, go ahead and take it as the first member card in your collection ^^ Member cards do not count towards your card count!

Levels
In Pretty Voice there are 10 levels. To stick with the subject of music, the levels are named after musical instruments ^^

LevelCard Amount
Piccolo7 Cards - 50 Cards
Flute51 Cards - 100 Cards
Clarinet101 Cards - 200 Cards
Trumpet201 Cards - 300 Cards
Saxophone301 Cards - 400 Cards

Violin501 Cards - 750 Cards
Tambourine751 Cards - 1000 Cards
Drum1001 Cards - 1250 Cards

Mastery
When you collected all 20 cards of a PV set or all 10 cards of an artist set, you have mastered that set and therefore get rewards. Rewards differ depending what type of set you mastered:

PV set - 1 choice theme card OR 2 choice PV cards, 3 random PV cards, 3 hiragana
Theme set - 3 choice PV cards, 5 random PV cards, 6 hiragana
10 Member Cards - 1 choice PV card, 2 hiragana

When you master any set, just post on the Mastery Section at the Forums and a staffer will reply to you as soon as possible.

Hiragana Cards
If you are familiar with how my other TCG Genki Beam works, note that there are no coupons in Pretty Voice. Instead we have Hiragana Cards, inspired by the "Actors" concept at Dramatic. I made a little card of each hiragana, and basically you can get one choice card from a PV deck when you spell out either the artist's first name or the group's name. You can refer to each card page to see exactly which Hiragana cards you need to collect.

There are 68 hiragana cards in total. You get them quite often, when you play games, donate, or as freebies. To make it easier to get the ones you need, you are allowed to trade with other members. Moreover, you can exchange 10 unwanted hiragana every week for new random ones using the Hiragana Bank.

Also, starting January 19, 2008 you can earn more cards if you collect the hiragana "hands" (like Poker Hands) explained on this page! So you can finally get rid of the hiragana that are collecting dust xD;;

And if you're lucky enough, you might come across a Hiragana card that says "Free Card" on it. You can use it to exchange any card you want, EVEN theme cards :D

Earning Cards
A summary of basic ways you can earn cards. Of course you get more cards by playing Games or Donations!

ActionRewards
Join2 cards from choice set, 3 random cards, 4 hiragana
Referral1 choice card, 2 random cards, 3 hiragana
Birthday3 choice hiragana (good for 3 choice cards, PV and theme ^^)

Concluding Remarks
Hope you understood how to play Pretty Voice and consider joining ^^ If you put Kirei before your name on the join form you will receive 1 extra card from choice set!
